Remet for Automotive Metallurgical Machinery

A well-known Automotive customer in 2019 came with a specific request for the volume of the cutting chamber and the desire to return to exclusively manual controls to avoid repeated malfunctions of the electronics of the competitor's machine they had previously used. A specifically customized model was therefore developed on the basis of the TR100 S, always guaranteeing the highest safety standards required. The project for this new machine, modern, practical, without wasting internal and external space, with a large opening to accommodate even bulky pieces, was so ambitious that it was decided to give it a new name in honor of the prestigious customer: thus the TR100 SF was born. The three-axis cutting machine with base, model TR100 SF with vertical development, is optimal for cutting large parts thanks to its longitudinal carriage. This machine, equipped with a stainless steel structure, polycarbonate cover and stainless steel and cast iron components coated with chemical nickel, is used for the precision cutting of the components of their racing cars. The cast iron grinding wheel motor, the Poly-V belt transmission and a cooling system with a wheeled tank housed in the base complete the machine. Designed in compliance with the most restrictive safety standards, the TR 100 SF includes a low voltage (24 V) control panel, a transparent shatterproof polycarbonate screen that isolates the work area, a safety microswitch that stops all functions when the cover is open and an emergency stop button.

The double-head, double-sample COMPUPRES represents the most advanced REMET mounting press, developed specifically to meet the needs of Marcegaglia Specialties laboratories. In 2021, the customer asked us both for the possibility of automating the mounting phase as much as possible for their numerous daily samples, and to customize the graphics with their colors and the name of the department. Based on a Compupres, the project was developed to add a second mounting unit, with the possibility of preparing 4 samples simultaneously and independently 2 by 2. Equipped with an advanced electronic control system with a PLC microprocessor and a touch screen LCD display, this automated machine allows you to process samples with diameters ranging from 25 to 50 mm. Thanks to the automatic recognition of the diameter of the samples, the COMPUPRES automatically reconfigures itself according to the predefined cycle, to ensure maximum precision.

The compression force, provided by an electro-hydraulic unit, is adjustable from 0 to 50 kN, allowing to obtain a variable pressure from 0 to 100 MPa in the embedding cylinder. The management software integrated into the machine offers a rich database of preset and customizable embedding methods, suitable for different materials or resins, with the possibility of saving up to 100 different programs. Furthermore, the operating parameters can be modified in real time during the work cycle, thus increasing the flexibility and effectiveness of the process. Available in configurations with one or two embedding units, the COMPUPRES is fully compliant with CE regulations, ensuring safety and reliability over time.

After years of profitable Non-destructive testing service, in 2023 a well-known motorcycle customer in the area asked us, as already machine manufacturers, if we were available to design and build a plant for testing with penetrant liquids according to their requests. This new request for the activities of Remet, did not catch us completely unprepared, as the plant built for the activities of Remet Controlli, back in 1996, was developed exactly like this. We therefore thought of a modern plant completely in stainless steel, equipped with all the measures to improve its ergonomics, ease of use, maintenance and daily cleaning. The plant equipped with four tanks all closable with special metal rollers, also has a sequence of an oven for drying the pieces checked.
