Excellent for flat grinding of samples with a hardness between 150 HV and 1000 HV.
Aka-Plait 220/75 µm is used for flat grinding of single samples, where a large amount of material needs to be removed.
For flat grinding of brittle samples, such as ceramics, cermets and sintered carbides, the use of Aka-Platt+ is recommended.
The Aka-Piatto and Aka-Piatto+ diamond grinding discs are ready to use. They must be dressed with a dressing stick from time to time depending on the material being prepared. This is done to ensure continuous and high material removal.
