Optimized for fine grinding of samples with a hardness of 150 HV – 2000 HV.
During fine sanding with an Aka-Plate 600/30 µm and/or an Aka-Plate 1200/15 µm, deformations after the flat sanding pass are removed.
In case of fine grinding of fragile samples such as ceramics, cermets or sintered carbides, the use of Aka-Plate+ is recommended due to a lower specific pressure.
After fine sanding with Aka-Piatto 600/30 µm and Aka-Piatto 1200/15 µm, the samples are ready for a 3 µm polishing step.
