Optimal for flat grinding of samples with a hardness between 150 HV and 1000 HV.
Aka-Piatto 80/250 µm (and Aka-Piatto 120/125 µm) are used for flat grinding of samples in sample holders where a large amount of material needs to be removed.
Please note that Aka-Plait+ is recommended for flat grinding of brittle samples, such as ceramics, cermets and sintered carbides.
The diamond grinding discs Aka-Piatto and Aka-Piatto+ have been ground and are ready for use. Depending on the material, they must be opened occasionally with a grinding stick to ensure a continuously high material removal.
