MICROMET A-DIGITAL

The MICROMET cutting machine is ideal for making perfectly reproducible precision cuts and thinnings, with minimal loss of material and without inducing alterations (microfractures, etc.) in metallographic samples.
The DIGITAL model allows some additional functions: all cutting operations are controlled by a 5-inch touch-screen panel, allowing the saving of working methods and customization of the interface. The advancement of the sample is controlled by a very sensitive electro-hydraulic system with display of the cutting effort. The grinding wheel speed is continuously adjustable (0 – 3000 rpm)
and the transversal translation of the sample-holder arm by means of a micrometer allow the cutting and thinning of any type of material. Great attention has been paid to eliminate problems related to wear and corrosion: the machine body and all the main components are in stainless steel; the internal components are in stainless steel and GHA-treated anticorodal.
The MICROMET DIGITAL is built in full compliance with the most restrictive safety standards:
• 5 inch touch-screen PLC;
• work recipe saving memory;
• mailing alarm, warning on machine alarms;
• screen mirroring via browser;
• transparent polycarbonate screen that isolates the work area;
• safety microswitch that stops all functions when the lid is open;
• emergency stop button.
