CLEANING MACHINES: CLEANING AND PRE-SANDING

Before gluing the slide on the identified surface, it is necessary to completely eliminate the deformations caused by the cut, thus obtaining a uniform, flat and shiny surface (Ra−10µm). REMET polishers allow the preparation of the surfaces manually or automatically thanks to special sample holders. Using the polishers with diamond discs (with different grain size) it is possible to perform the pre-smoothing and the final polishing required.

This operation is possible by using abrasive powders or diamond pastes spread on cast iron discs or on special polishing cloths.

REMET petrographic polishers allow to perform pre-smoothing and polishing operations with perfect flatness in a short time thanks to the great ergonomics and the wide availability of accessories for both manual and automatic operation. Great attention has been paid to the choice of components and construction materials: the machine body is made of acid-proof oven-painted steel, the drainer and the splash guard ring are made of stainless steel, the gearmotor transmission guarantees perfect functionality even in the case of heavy loads, the interchangeability of the quick-fit working discs, a jet of water always keeps the drainer clean by evacuating the grinding residues, the control buttons are powered at low voltage, while the variable speed allows to work even at low rotation speed of the working disc for the pre-smoothing of fragile and delicate samples.

REMET polishing machines are available in versions with working discs of d. 200 and d. 300 mm and can be equipped with automatic lapping and polishing devices.
