Computerized grinder-cleaner for the preparation of metallographic samples according to fully automatic cycles. ROBOMET is equipped with 5 work stations and a washing station, arranged in a circle around the sample-holder head. The samples are mounted on a special sample-holder star, which is inserted, by means of a quick coupling, into the automatic head. The head carries out the programmed work cycle by moving from one station to another and carrying out the preparation in full compliance with the selected parameters. The nozzles for dispensing the abrasive suspensions and the lubricant are connected to the head. The operator is isolated from the work area by a plexiglass protection equipped with a safety microswitch.
ROBOMET performs the preparation of metallographic samples according to the cycle recalled by the operator, a cycle can be composed of a maximum of 100 steps and for each step it is possible to set all the process variables. The machine allows you to store 60 different preparation cycles, but it is possible to record another 60 on removable memory. The preparation cycles are password protected. The work cycle can be suspended and resumed at any time using a special stand-by button. The work cycles can be programmed and stored both when the machine is stopped and during the execution of a cycle. The machine is equipped with a main switch for on and off, an emergency stop button and is made in compliance with CE standards. The work area is made of stainless steel and GHA treated anticorodal.
